It’s been a while—this is the real Idle, currently in Ladaria. My and Arena’s clones are in Terveil right now, but since I have full awareness of everything happening there, it feels like I have two separate visions at once.
Since I separated my consciousness using Multiple Thoughts, I don’t feel any discomfort, but it’s still a strange sensation.
“Are you ready, Master?”
“Yeah, I’m good. What about you?”
“I am always ready.”
Right now, I was standing face-to-face with La Veil in a one-on-one match. The setting was an isolated plain, so remote that no one would dare to come near. It reminded me of that battle with the demons… That was insane in so many ways.
So, what are we doing now? Simple—this is La Veil’s way of taking a break.
“Sorry for making you wait so long, La Veil.”
“It is fine. These past few months have been enjoyable, after all. This is just a selfish request of mine…”
“I see… Well then, shall we begin?”
“Indeed.”
I planned to fight using everything except Limited Loli Mode. That much was necessary—otherwise, there was no way I could defeat La Veil in her current state. She wasn’t on the level of a demon, but… she was ridiculously strong.

Through the mist, a colossal horizontal slash came flying toward me. I blocked it with my Holy Sword—

She tried to overpower me, so I immediately switched into Fairy Mode to escape. The force of her attack carved a flaming trench into the earth.
I reappeared behind her and delivered a flying kick to the back of her head, sending her tumbling hundreds of meters across the plain.
When she stood back up, she looked at me… with a lovestruck expression. Wait… that’s kind of embarrassing.

Arena, who was watching via Synchronization, was extremely pleased by La Veil’s joy.

For the next several minutes, Idle and La Veil clashed at full force.
La Veil used her dragon-enhanced halberd for pure power attacks, while Idle mixed in Fairy Mode and swift sword strikes.
Whenever Idle dodged, La Veil’s flaming slashes scorched the battlefield. The once-vast plains had already turned into a charred wasteland.
“Kufufu! This is the best!! The absolute best!! HAHAHAHAHA!!”
With a manic grin, La Veil unleashed even more mana, filling the battlefield with a dense aura that warped space itself.
Idle, also thrilled, was now leaking pink energy. Their overwhelming magic turned the air heavy with pressure.

“GUHHAAAH!!”
Idle kicked La Veil’s jaw, then followed up with a punch, forcing her back. Finally, they both paused.
“Phew… Man, dueling with you is a real workout.”
“…But, we are not finished yet, are we?”
For once, in the heat of battle, La Veil called Idle by name. That made Idle smile.
“Of course not… I’ll stay with you as long as you want.”
“!! …Kuh… Kufufufu♪ Then, don’t collapse until I am finished with you, Idle!!!”
La Veil unleashed her full magic and activated Dragon Transformation.

Increases all stats by 10x and grants dragon physiology. Duration: 3 minutes. Cooldown: 1 week (stats reduced to 1/1000 afterward).
With horns, wings, and a tail, her body was now covered in dragon scales. Her defensive stats had exceeded 20 trillion.

With one swing, La Veil’s halberd split the earth.
Idle fortified herself with Fairy Magic at full power.
The moment their weapons clashed—

In the aftermath of their battle, Idle cradled the now-small La Veil in her lap. Their wounds had already healed, but both were so utterly exhausted that they couldn’t move. All they could do was wait for Arena to come and rescue them.
However, rather than fatigue, the air between them was filled with nothing but a refreshing sense of satisfaction.

“It was close, though… If you had a little more time, you might’ve shattered all of them.”
“And then, you would’ve simply come up with another move, wouldn’t you?”
“Well, yeah… Did you enjoy your break?”
Idle gently stroked La Veil’s cheek, and La Veil smiled like a child.

“Of course. You’re my partner, after all.”
As they caressed each other’s cheeks, their emotions intertwined—deeper than even their usual Synchronization. It was a connection beyond words.

“I love you too, La Veil…”
A few minutes later, as the two of them drifted into exhausted slumber, Arena suddenly appeared.
“Ooh… Alrighty then.”
Taking one look at their condition, she wasted no time. Carefully adjusting their collapsed positions, she placed their heads on her lap. Then, with a beaming smile, she watched over their peaceful sleeping faces.

Then, using Fairy Magic, she began singing them a lullaby…

“Ah, welcome back, everyone. By the way… there were all these explosions and tremors shaking the whole place—what were you guys even doing?”
“Just playing around with La Veil a little.”

“…How the hell am I supposed to explain this to the citizens~!!?”
In the end, they decided to blame it on a battle against a monster from the Creator God.
