Chapter 143: Fairy vs. Heroes of "Proliferation" & "Acceleration"
The chairman was furious.
He had sent two individuals equipped with magic tools he had developed by analyzing the Revenant Board and Magic Light Sword. These tools had been designed to record battle data so he could use them to improve future models.
However, he had just received the worst possible news from the faculty.
“Damn it, damn it, damn it! Why didn’t the security system activate?! What exactly is missing?!”
“Just come and see for yourself! We can’t determine it on our own!”
The chairman rushed to the top floor of the Magic Tool Research Tower, where the Divine Era Magic Tools were stored. He had been wary from the start—after all, reports confirmed the presence of heroes in Ladaria. That meant there was a chance that Oikawa’s existence had been discovered.
If that was the case, then it was entirely possible that they had allied with Galuania to retrieve the stolen magic tools. If they had come through official channels, he could have simply turned them away at the door. Since only the chairman himself knew about the tools, keeping them hidden should have been easy.
Stealing them back through normal means was impossible.
The top floor of the tower had security passes restricting entry to only the highest-ranking faculty members. The room itself was constructed from orichalcum-infused stone, making it impenetrable—even for heroes.
Unless, of course, AK had reached a realm beyond human comprehension…
Upon reaching the top floor, the chairman flung open the door to the storage room, only to find—
“Wow, so many treasures! This is awesome~♪”
“Ui-fuu~ so much, so much~♪”
Two fairies had broken in by making a hole in the wall. They were happily stealing every magic tool in sight.
Ah, so that’s Terubelle.
I had observed through Multiple Thought Processing, but seeing it in person was different.
Earlier, I had summoned “Fairy” Idle and used “Invisibility” to teleport the two of them here. Then, I locked onto the fairies’ presence and warped myself to this location.
“Arrived~♪”
Of course, I brought Arena along too. Once we’re done here, let’s watch the fireworks together, okay?
“Ui-su~♪”
Still, I never expected these two to blabber everything Oikawa was hiding. Originally, I planned to have him report to Felnora directly.
I miscalculated.
“Tch, if you get in our way, we’ll kill you.”
“Wait, Oikawa’s already as good as dead. Let’s have some fun first. Look at that face—she’s cute as hell.”
“Aha-ha, you guys are disgustingly vile~”
Now, as for their magic equipment… hmm, this is interesting.
It’s clearly a prototype, with thin tubes running across it. Definitely a work-in-progress.
The shoe-like device seems to be based on the Revenant Board. The soles are made from Revenant Ore, allowing it to mimic the original technique. By focusing the output into a single point, they can likely move in sharp, high-speed trajectories. Let’s call them “Revenant Shoes.”
The tube-like device on their shoulders—I noticed it firing fist-sized light projectiles earlier. It probably modifies the blade-generation formula of the Magic Light Sword to create energy bullets. Essentially, it’s a “Magic Power Cannon.”
Both of these rely on the user’s magical power. Naturally, if a hero uses them, they can operate at many times the output of an ordinary person.
Though, I wonder… what about those armor-like parts attached to various parts of their bodies?
They have red lines running through them. Kinda cool.
“As a weapon, it’s decent. But its performance is too dependent on the user’s magical capacity. So, let me ask—if you kill Oikawa, you’ll be allowed to graduate, right?”
“Yeah. But having an outsider watch is a problem.”
“Exactly. So, I suggest you surrender before we break something important.”
The heroes leapt up and aimed their Magic Power Cannons at me, firing a barrage of light projectiles.
Oh, not bad.
Their coordination is pretty solid—better than I expected, given their limited practice time. Maybe they’re the type to train in secret?
“You’re not even using your Holy Sword abilities? How arrogant. Did you really try to fight me without even using Appraisal?”
I swung my unreleased Holy Sword once.
The mere pressure of the swing blew away all the light projectiles.
As expected—since they’re made of magic, they’re fast but light.
“What the hell!?”
“Damn, Morita, her stats are pretty high!”
“Are you serious?! The hell kind of non-hero has stats like this?! Tch, whatever. We need to kill Oikawa—let’s go!”
I had disguised my status to be slightly higher than theirs, which seemed to make them hesitant.
Now they were trying to escape.
Ah, but—
“Oi… what’s this invisible wall…? Shit! Stop! We can’t move!!”
Too late.
I had already sealed the area using “Magical Metal Thread.”
This dungeon material strengthens when infused with Fairy Magic, creating a razor-sharp net.
If you run into it without realizing… well, you’ll get diced into fine chunks.
Would you prefer mincemeat?
“Tch… You really trapped us just to fight? Are you insane?”
“Oh, come on. You two don’t seem that strong. And letting you escape would be a hassle. If you’re confident in your defense, go ahead—force your way through.”
“Tch, this magic density is insane…”
“Aizawa, we’re using our Holy Sword abilities. We need to kill her before she does something worse.”
“Yeah.”
That’s the spirit.
I raised my Holy Sword.
Even without activating its power, its sharpness was absolute.
“Holy Sword Ability—Activate!”
The moment they unleashed their Holy Swords, something visibly changed.
Their numbers began multiplying exponentially—from two to four, to eight, to sixteen… and so on.
Each clone had physical mass—not mere illusions.
Within moments, 256 heroes surrounded Idle.
“We’re gonna turn you into minced meat, brat!!”
All 256 of them surged forward, unleashing countless light projectiles at speeds many times greater than before.
Their coordination was flawless—Idle had to give them credit.
Morita’s ability: [Proliferation]
He can duplicate himself or another person, maintaining their exact status and skills (except for Holy Equipment).
A perfect force multiplier.
Aizawa’s ability: [Acceleration]
He can increase his own and another’s SPD by up to 100 times.
Right now, the 256 clones were moving at around 5 million SPD.
A high-speed whirling death spiral.
“It’s over!!!”
“Vanish!!!”
Just as the attacks were about to land—
Idle vanished.
“What?! Where’d she go?!”
“It’s that teleport skill again—she’s still nearby!”
“Exactly.”
“!!!?”
Fairies don’t care about aerial combat.
Idle teleported right into their midst, summoning rings of light for each clone.
“You—what the hell is that form!?”
“You weren’t even human?!”
“Oh, are we talking or playing tag? Let’s get started~♪”
The first hero got trapped in a ring and plummeted to the ground.
Morita, sharing senses with his clones, felt their panic.
He finally realized—
They had already lost.
And as the light rings multiplied, their only remaining option—
Was to scream in terror.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
Idle and the others sent the first Revenant Board they found to the carriage.
“Oh, there’s a ton of stuff besides the Revenant Board! Alright, let’s just take everything~♪”
“Yeah~♪”
They were just going with the flow.
